• There will be no lunch hour intramurals in the gym today.

• Citadel High School has invited Island View to attend the annual HRM-wide talent show “act4aids” which raises money to combat aids in Africa. Tickets will be sold at lunch throughout the week for 5$ or 7$ at the door.   If you want to see some of the best talent across all 15 schools in the district, join hundreds of students at the Halifax Spatz Theater on February 12, 6:30pm.

• The Wellness Team is collecting donations of money, bus tickets, ear phones, sleep masks, ear plugs, hair brushes and hair elastics for Barry House.  Donated items may be dropped off in the main office or the Youth Health Center.  Bake sale today at lunch.   Please come out and support the fundraising efforts for Barry House.

• Yearbook committee meetings Monday at lunch in room 321, new members are welcome.

• Pre-orders for yearbook will be taken on Wednesdays at lunch in the main lobby until March 29.  After that date, a yearbook cannot be purchased.  Cost of yearbook is $15.

• Come to Room 214 after school Tuesdays to play some tabletop games.  We've got Pandemic, all the Forbidden games, Resistance, Mole Rats in Space, and maybe even some Dungeons and Dragons.

• Coding club is every Thursday after school from 2:15 - 4 PM in room 309. Bring your Chromebook.
