• This week pre-orders for yearbook will be taken today and tomorrow0 at lunch in the main lobby.  After that date, a yearbook cannot be purchased.  Cost of yearbook is $15 and numbers are limited.

• Attention grade 9 students: Catapult is summer leadership camp held at Acadia University where students will learn problem solving techniques, decision making skills and effective team work. Catapult is looking for students with natural leadership qualities and strong potential. This program is free to students; more information and nomination forms can be found in guidance. The deadline to apply is April 10

• Attention grade 11 students: Each year the Lieutenant Governor’s Medal is awarded to two grade 11 students who display qualities of leadership and service in their school and community and have strong academics. Students wishing to apply for this award should have a minimum average of 85% and will need to complete an application which they can pick up in the Guidance office. The deadline to submit an application is Wednesday, April 3.

• A representative from the YMCA Summer Work Student Exchange will be set up in the school tomorrow during lunch. This program offers opportunities for youth to improve their second official language skills, explore another part of Canada, and gain valuable work experience while living and working in a French-speaking community in Québec for 6 weeks. Interested students are encouraged to stop by to get information

• An IVHS Artist Series Workshop with Jenni Blackmore, a Sculptural Workshop with Found-Object Inspiration will be taking place on today, March 28th 2:15-4:15, Tuesday, April 2, 2:15-4:15 and Thursday, April 4, 2:15-3:15.  Twelve to fifteen high school students from Island View High School will have an awesome opportunity to experiment and play with multiple materials to create a one-of-a-kind sculptural piece.  Sign-Up is required for this workshop and the sheet is on the art room door.  A 2$ sign-up fee is suggested. Ms. Perry will turn the toonies into after-school snacks during the workshop times!

• Softball Club, Wednesdays after school 2:10-3:00 pm.  Bring your own glove.  No cleats.

• Yearbook committee meetings Monday at lunch in room 321, new members are welcome.

• Jazz Band, Wednesday after school.  Concert Band, Tuesday at lunch.  See Ms. Gendron if you have any questions.

• Island View Art Club, Room 117 meets twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays at lunch.  Bring your lunch. 

• Come to Room 214 after school Tuesdays to play some tabletop games.

• Come out to badminton club in the gym on Mondays and Thursdays after school.  All are welcome.

• Coding club every Thursday after school from 2:15 - 4 PM in room 309. Bring your Chromebook.
