• Tomorrow, April 2, is World Autism day and the Learning Centre will be accepting donations in the form of Toonies in support of Autism Nova Scotia.  A table will be set up from break until after the lunch hour outside the learning centre to share awareness and to collect donations for Autism Nova Scotia. Please wear blue tomorrow as blue is the official colour for Autism.

• Europe trip fundraising meeting Tuesday, April 2 at lunch in room 321.

• The Library will be closed today during B Block.

• A reminder to all Grade 9 students that O2 applications are due April 12th.  They can be passed in to Mr. O'Reilly in Guidance or Mr. Dulhanty in room 115.

• Attention grade 9 students: Catapult is a summer leadership camp held at Acadia University where students will learn problem solving techniques, decision making skills and effective team work. Catapult is looking for students with natural leadership qualities and strong potential. This program is free to students; more information and nomination forms can be found in guidance. The deadline to apply is April 10

• Attention grade 11 students: Each year the Lieutenant Governor’s Medal is awarded to two grade 11 students who display qualities of leadership and service in their school and community and have strong academics. Students wishing to apply for this award should have a minimum average of 85% and will need to complete an application which they can pick up in the Guidance office. The deadline to submit an application is Wednesday, April 3.

• Softball Club, Wednesdays after school 2:10-3:00 pm.  Bring your own glove.  No cleats.

• Yearbook committee meetings Monday at lunch in room 321, new members are welcome.

• Jazz Band, Wednesday after school.  Concert Band, Tuesday at lunch.  See Ms. Gendron if you have any questions.

• Island View Art Club, Room 117 meets on Mondays and Thursdays at lunch. 

• Come to Room 214 after school Tuesdays to play some tabletop games.

• Come out to badminton club in the gym on Mondays and Thursdays after school. 

• Coding club every Thursday after school from 2:15 - 4 PM in room 309. Bring your Chromebook.

• We now have an official Island View swag online shopping portal. There is a wide selection of products from a variety of brands that you can customize with the approved logos and graphics found on the site 24/7 with no minimum order quantities.  https://islandviewhighschool.entripyshops.com/
