• Students on the Europe Trip will be selling Freezies and snacks at lunch in the lobby on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until the end of the year.

• Students who signed up for a Halifax Public Library card may pick up their card in the library today.

• All students planning on attending, or thinking about attending, the NSSSA Synergy Conference in May please meet in Ms. Buott's classroom, room 223, for a brief but IMPORTANT meeting at the beginning of lunch.

• All students going to Dramafest need to see Mr. Pierce today to pick up permission forms.

• Just a reminder that there will not be intramurals today at lunch. Intramurals take place Monday to Thursday from 10:45-11:20am.

• Slo-pitch Club Wednesday May 1st 2:10-3:10pm in the gym.

• If you are missing any clothes, please check the lost and found in the main office. If you think you lost something in the gym, please see Mr. Fraser.

• The dance team is putting on Dance Week, with a dance-related activity every day at lunch this week.  Today, come join the dance team for a flash mob.

• Jazz Band, Wednesday after school.

• Island View Art Club, Room 117, Mondays and Thursdays at lunch. 

• Tabletop games, Room 214 after school Tuesdays. 

• Coding club Thursday after school from 2:15 - 4 PM, room 309. Bring your Chromebook.

• Any African Nova Scotian students interested in a career in the health professions are invited to apply to this year’s African Nova Scotian Health Sciences Summer Camp. Camps take place at Dalhousie, St. FX and Cape Breton University in July and are open to students in grade 9, 10 and 11. The deadline to apply for this opportunity is May 3rd.

• Any African Nova Scotian students interested in going to university or college to study in a health or science field are invited to apply for the Plans Prep Institute. This program is for grade 10, 11 and 12 students with a focus on skills development to prepare for post-secondary success and ease the transition from high school. This program takes place at Dalhousie University from July 2-5; interested students must apply not later than May 3. For more information on these two opportunities, students should check with guidance.

• Any student interested in part-time work in the seafood and aquaculture industry, with the potential of earning a bursary ranging from $500-$1000 for college or university in the process, can see guidance for more information and application process.
