• The GSA is hosting a Pride Party today at lunch in the Youth Health Centre. Everyone is welcome to join and celebrate pride month with some food, drinks & music.
• Student Council applications are available in the main office. Applications are due back to the main office by Monday, June 17th at 2:00 pm.
• Yearbooks will be handed out to pre-orders today at lunch and there are some for sale, as well. Cost to purchase is $15. Yearbooks are also available throughout the day in the main office.
• Staff and Student are reminded that Library books are due today! Students who have borrowed books from the Pop-up Library may also return them to our library and Mrs. Garnier will see that they get returned.
• Students going on the IVHS Europe trip in March 2020 will be selling freezies at lunch every day this week for only $1
• Also, students from the Europe trip are having a BBQ fundraiser on Friday June 14th at lunch time in the courtyard. You can purchase hot dogs for $1 and hamburgers for $2.
• Mindful Mondays in the Youth Health Centre @ lunch.
• Attention all runners: The running club will be meeting Mondays after school in the gym. All are welcome.
• Intramurals Monday to Thursday from 10:45-11:20am.
• Jazz Band, Wednesday after school.
• Any student, who has completed the babysitting course and is interested in some possible babysitting work are asked to speak to Mr. O’Reilly in guidance.
• Students interested in part-time work in the seafood and aquaculture industry, with the potential of earning a bursary ranging from $500-$1000 for college or university in the process, can see guidance for more information and application process.
• The Royal City Soccer Club is looking for staff and volunteers for their summer day camp programs. Camps run through July and August and will be taking place in Dartmouth.
• The Halifax Buskers Festival is looking for volunteers for this summer’s event. Available positions include working as a stage manager, overseeing an information booth and being a runner. For more information on both of these volunteer opportunities, please check in guidance.
