• Mr. Pierce would like to thank all the students and staff for their participation in the Candidate's Forum.  Special honour goes to Josie Vaughan and Kaileigh Waugh for being excellent moderators.

• The NSSSA is a student-led leadership organization that produces energetic leadership conferences and opportunities for all high school students in Nova Scotia.  For those interested, there will be a meeting at lunch today in room 120.

• Calnen Photography is coming to Island View High School November 14th & 15th for graduation photos. Graduating students are asked to go to the school’s website to book your portrait sitting online.

• School photo retakes are scheduled at the school on October 16.

• Mandatory Europe trip meeting today at lunch in room 321.

• The Yearbook committee is looking for all artists at Island View to create the cover for the 2019-2020 Island View yearbook. Send covers to Ms. Griffin in room 321. 

• Pre-orders for yearbook's will be taken at lunch on Wednesdays in the main lobby for a cost of $45.

• Freezie Friday! Every Friday at lunch purchase a freezie for only $1 in support of students going on the Europe Trip.

• Yearbook meeting every Monday at lunch in 321. 

• Any students interested in programming club, come to room 309 at 2:10 Thursdays.   Bring your chromebook.  All levels welcome. Any questions, please see Mr. White in room 309.

• Any cadets interested in participating in this year’s Remembrance Day Ceremony please drop by the main office and sign-up to participate. 

• Any students who wish to sing in the Remembrance Day Ceremony please see Ms. Mark in room 118.

• Any students who wish to perform contemporary dance in the Remembrance Day Ceremony please see Ms. Adams in room 225.

• Guitar club every Tuesday in the music room at lunch. 

• Open Art Studio Mondays and Thursdays at lunch are in 117.  All are welcome. 

• Art Club, Wednesdays after school from 2:30-4:30 in the art room.

• Creative Club in room 223 at lunch on Wednesdays.
 
• Gym Lunch Time Activities:
Mon and Wednesday – Recreational Play
Tuesday and Thursday – Organized Sport. 
Doors open at 10:50 a.m. and end at 11:25 a.m.

• Students bringing cars to school are asked to drop by the main office and provide us with your name, car make and model and license plate.

• Students are not to park in the gravel HRM lot next door.  You are asked to park in the school’s lot next to Seaside Elementary.
