• Calnen Photography is coming to Island View High School November 14th & 15th for graduation photos. Graduating students are asked to go to the school’s website to book your portrait sitting online.

• Attention cross country runners, there will be a mandatory meeting at lunch tomorrow, Wednesday Oct 16, in room 327 regarding Thursdays meet. Please be there at the beginning of lunch.

• The Youth Employability Program will be in the Youth Health Centre after school on Wednesday October 16th to do a free workshop with students who are interested in having a resume made.  Any student is welcome to drop by.

• The Yearbook committee is looking for all artists at Island View to create the cover for the 2019-2020 Island View yearbook. Send covers to Ms. Griffin in room 321. 

• Pre-orders for yearbook's will be taken at lunch on Wednesdays in the main lobby for a cost of $45.

• Freezie Friday! Every Friday at lunch purchase a freezie for only $1 in support of students going on the Europe Trip.

• Yearbook meeting every Monday at lunch in 321. 

• Art Club is CANCELLED this week and will resume Wednesday the 23rd. Apologies for any inconvenience.

• Nocturne: Art at Night is a fall festival that brings art and energy to the streets of (K'jipuktuk/) Halifax between 6 p.m. and midnight this Saturday night the 19th of October. The completely free annual event showcases and celebrates the visual arts scene in Mi'kma'ki/Nova Scotia. Plan an outing with friends. Go too nocturnehalifax.ca to plan your fun!

• Any cadets interested in participating in this year’s Remembrance Day Ceremony please drop by the main office and sign-up to participate. 

• Any students who wish to sing in the Remembrance Day Ceremony please see Ms. Mark in room 118.

• Students bringing cars to school are asked to drop by the main office and provide us with your name, car make and model and license plate.

• Students are not to park in the gravel HRM lot next door.  You are asked to park in the school’s lot next to Seaside Elementary.
