Island View High School

November 16th, 2020

• Here at Island View we acknowledge that mental health is a very important and serious thing.

Mental illness affects people of all ages, education, income levels, and cultures. And, in Canada, out of all the many people who deal with mental health only 1 out of 5 children and youth who need mental health services receives them.

It’s important to treat yourself when dealing with mental health, so from now on we will be doing a mental health tip of the day.  Today’s tip.

Stay Active: Staying active is as good for the brain as it is for the body. Regular exercise or activity can have a major impact on your mental and emotional health, relieve stress, improve memory, and help you sleep better.
