Eat Well:  Meaning eating regularly, watching caffeine and sugar intake. Food is our fuel. It gives us important nutrients that help our bodies work. It makes sense that the better we eat, the better we work. Our brains work better, too. Research shows that the food we eat is a big part of mental health. Healthy foods like fruits, vegetables and whole grains give us the nutrients to work our best.

• Student Council meeting today after school in the cafeteria.

• Student Council will be collecting donations for an Eastern Passage Holiday Toy Drive. Toy donations will be accepted at the office until Friday, November 27, 2020.   Plush/used toys will not be accepted due to sanitization concerns.

• Calling all Devils! This year our annual coffee house is going virtual in the form of Devils Got Talent! To participate in this exciting event, fill out the Google Form available on all of our social media platforms. All applications are due by November 30th!

• Yearbooks are being pre-ordered online only this year. The cost of a yearbook will be $45 and the link is posted on the Island View High School website. Be sure to order your yearbooks early as there are a limited number available.

• From your Yearbook Committee:  Who will be voted most likely to go to space? or most likely to fall asleep in class?  Grade 12 students can nominate for superlatives in the Google form posted on the potential grad Google classroom. This form will be open until Monday Nov. 30th

• Grad photos can be scheduled for the following dates:
December 7
December 8
December 9
December 10

• There are a number of upcoming scholarships.  Please check in Guidance for details.

• St. FX University will be hosting a virtual information session on December 1st at 6:30PM. Students will learn about programs, admission requirements, scholarships, and more. Interested students can get more information and register at stfx.ca/info or check in Guidance.
