November 3, 2020- The wearing of masks at IVHS.

Keeping each other safe at IVHS

Dear IVHS families,

This week we will be going over and recommunicating expectations at IVHS during the pandemic. Yesterday we spoke about the importance of using the Covid-19 checklist to determine if we are well enough to come to school.

November 3, 2020- The wearing of masks at IVHS.

Students are expected to wear a mask at IVHS. The expectation is that the mask will be worn to cover the nose and the mouth.

At school students will wear a mask unless they are:
 Seated in the classroom at a distance of 2m / 6 ft. from others facing in the same direction
 Eating or drinking
 Participating in indoor physical activity where a mask cannot be worn.
 All students who travel by bus, regardless of age, will keep their mask on at all times while on the bus
 Staff and visitors will wear masks in common areas and whenever they are unable to maintain physical distance of 6 feet from others.
 A supply of medical masks and face shields will be available if needed to supervise students who develop symptoms of COVID-19 while at school. Individuals may choose to wear face shields for eye protection at other times however this does not replace the requirement to wear a mask.
 When students are leaving the building it is requested that they keep on their mask until they can maintain socially distancing of 6 feet, and are not congregating in front of the school.

We appreciate the cooperation of students, visitors and staff and remind that it is imperative that we continue to follow these expectation so that we can keep each other safe.

Kind Regards,

Pat Savage
