Island View High School

Tuesday, June 1, 2021-Message to Community

Dear IVHS Families,

By now, most of you have heard that the last seven days of class will be in person and not online.

Classes will be in person starting 8:00 am on Thursday morning, June 3.

On Thursday, first class is D block, and second class is C block.

Thursday morning in class we will outline for students how the last seven days of class will proceed and exam week- June 14-17. We will also be going over safety protocols and rules for the school at that time.

As students prepare to come back to school, a few reminders, so they can safely enter the building.
1. All students and staff are asked to consult the Covid-19 Checklist before coming to school-https://ivh.hrce.ca/
2. Students must be masked. If a mask is needed please let us know and we will provide one.
3. Students with a class on the third floor enter the school by the front side door, to the left of the main doors, as you approach the building.
4. If a student’s class is on the first or second floor, they enter by the main doors. Students going down to the first floor take the first stairwell to their left down to the first floor.
5. On entering the school everyone is asked to sanitize their hands.
6. Students are asked to stay on the floor of their class. Students may only change floors with permission. This is designed to limit the number of students one comes into contact with.

We are pleased that we will see all our students before the end of the year. If after the first day you still have questions, please feel free to contact us.

Kind Regards,

Pat Savage
