Island View High School

October 23rd, 2018

• The Nova Scotia International Student Program is looking for grade 10 and 11 students interested in becoming a student ambassador at IVHS.   The primary role of the student ambassador is to help international students integrate into their school and community after they arrive in Nova Scotia.
To provide school tours, welcome new international students and international visitors and work with the school staff liaison and homestay coordinators to organize regular activities for international students in the school and community.   Interested students are asked to see Mr. O"Reilly in guidance.

• Hey Island View! Do you like to run? Would you like to learn how to run? Do you want to relieve stress and anxiety by being physically active?
Then, come join your fellow devils for RUNNING CLUB Mondays after school in the gym.  See Mr. Fougere if you have any questions.

• Hey geeks and geek wanna-bees.  Tired of others getting all the attention. Come to Room 214 after school on Tuesdays to play some tabletop games.  We've got Pandemic, all the Forbidden games, Resistance, Mole Rats in Space, and maybe even some Dungeons and Dragons.  Come get your geek on Tuesdays after school.

• Island View Devils Intramural program has begun; every Monday and Wednesday there will be open gym- bring a friend in to play some basketball, volleyball, or practice your personal fitness. Tuesday and Thursday will be sport specific games.  Doors open at 10:50am and will close at 11:25am.

• Yearbook meeting Mondays at lunch in room 321.

• Any students who have submitted their chrome book for repairs, please come to guidance to collect your chrome book.
