• The Passage Players will be presenting Sorry; Not Sorry at the Buffalo Club May 30th to June 1st. This show features the talents of 2 Island View students and 1 Island View teacher. Show starts at 7:30 and tickets are $12.
• On Monday June 3rd the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy will be coming to our school to offer free 10 minute massages to our students here during B & C block of that day. If you would like to have a massage during this event, please pick up a permission form in the main office. The first 40 students to return their permission forms to the main office will be booked into a slot for that day.
• Eastern Passage-Cow Bay Summer Carnival Committee is sponring the Annual Summer Carnival Queen Teen Pageant. Interested individuals may pick up an application form and additional details in the main office.
• Mindful Mondays in the Youth Health Centre @ lunch.
• Europe Trip Students will be selling Freezies at lunch in the lobby on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until the end of the year.
• Meeting at lunch on Friday May 31 in room 321 for all students going on the Europe 2020 trip.
• Attention all runners: The running club will be meeting Mondays after school in the gym. All are welcome.
• Intramurals Monday to Thursday from 10:45-11:20am.
• Jazz Band, Wednesday after school.
• Any student, who has completed the babysitting course and is interested in some possible babysitting work are asked to speak to Mr. O’Reilly in guidance.
• Students interested in part-time work in the seafood and aquaculture industry, with the potential of earning a bursary ranging from $500-$1000 for college or university in the process, can see guidance for more information and application process.
• The Royal City Soccer Club is looking for staff and volunteers for their summer day camp programs. Camps run through July and August and will be taking place in Dartmouth.
• The Halifax Buskers Festival is looking for volunteers for this summer’s event. Available positions include working as a stage manager, overseeing an information booth and being a runner. For more information on both of these volunteer opportunities, please check in guidance.
