Any Cadets interested in joining the Cadet Corps for the IVHS Remembrance Day Ceremony please contact Cadet Leader Katherine Wertman. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 in the Music Room (118).

All potential grads fill out the yearbook nominations form posted on the potential grad classroom. Deadline is Oct. 27.

Reminder to grade 12 students to check the updated list of scholarships on the guidance website and posted outside of the guidance office.

French club meets every second Wednesday.

Improv Club meets Tuesdays on the stage after school. All are welcome. 

Do you love singing and want to meet new people? The MicroTones Choir is looking for new members for this school year. All voices are welcome. The choir is free of charge and rehearses at the Dartmouth Music Centre on Tuesdays from 6-7:30 pm. Email mhartery@gnspes.ca for more information.

School Liaison Dawn Gardiner is available in room 205 on Thursdays if you require assistance with Career Exploration, a resume, cover letter or interview prep.  Feel free to stop by and make an appointment on Thursdays.

Do you have your Social Insurance Number?  If Not A representative from Service Canada will be at Island View High School between 10 am and 12:30 pm, Thursday, November 9th, 2023.  You will require your original birth certificate, and another piece of ID (health card) to apply for your SIN #.  The process is open to both students and younger children of staff if you don’t have your child/ren’s SIN and only takes a few minutes.  If you have any questions, please contact School Liaison Dawn Gardiner (Howe-Power) at 902- 885-5477 or dawn.howepower@halifax.ymca.ca

ATHLETICS

Members of the boys hockey team need to see Ms. Pike sometime today. She will be in the gym all of lunch for basketball intramurals.

The girls basketball team will practice tomorrow at 2:30-4:30.

Gift cards for the athletics fundraiser are due on Friday.
