Yearbook Meeting today at lunch in Room 321.

Do you have your Social Insurance Number?  If Not A representative from Service Canada will be at Island View High School between 10 am and 12:30 pm, Thursday, November 9th, 2023.  You will require your original birth certificate, and another piece of ID (health card) to apply for your SIN #.  The process is open to both students and younger children of staff if you don’t have your child/ren’s SIN and only takes a few minutes.  If you have any questions, please contact School Liaison Dawn Gardiner (Howe-Power) at 902- 885-5477 or dawn.howepower@halifax.ymca.ca

A representative from the University of New Brunswick will be at the school today to discuss programs, scholarships and how to apply. Students are encouraged to stop by to chat with them outside of the guidance office.

Learning Centre is selling popcorn today outside room 217 - fifty cents a bag. 

Any Cadets interested in joining the Cadet Corps for the IVHS Remembrance Day Ceremony please contact Cadet Leader Katherine Wertman. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 in the Music Room (118).

French club meets every second Wednesday.

Improv Club meets Tuesdays on the stage after school. All are welcome. 

Do you love singing and want to meet new people? The MicroTones Choir is looking for new members for this school year. All voices are welcome. The choir is free of charge and rehearses at the Dartmouth Music Centre on Tuesdays from 6-7:30 pm. Email mhartery@gnspes.ca for more information.
