A reminder that we are a scent-aware building so please be respectful regarding the use of scents.

Any student interested in being nominated for the Phillip W. Oland or J.P. McCarthy Scholarship through St. FX University are asked to sign up outside of the guidance office. Interested students must have a minimum average of 90% and have achieved superior academic standing while demonstrating St. FX qualities of leadership and service to community. These awards are valued between $6000 and $24,000. The deadline to sign up is Friday, February 23.

Students who booked a grad photo retake for last week have been sent an email asking they reschedule their appointment for Feb. 22nd.  The booking link has been shared with the students and is available on the school’s website. 

Reminder the deadline for fudge orders to be turned into the office is this week, Friday, February 23.

Girls hockey team has a meeting in the gym at the start of lunch.

MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) Halifax Chapter’s Annual Prom Dress Drive and Sale takes place this year at their new location in Mic Mac Mall.   Saturday March 2, 9:30 am to 9 pm. and Sunday, March 3, noon to 5 pm.  The cost of each dress is $30.

There will be a mandatory meeting for all students going on the Europe trip today during lunch in room 118.   All travelers must attend this meeting.

Do you love music? The Island View DJ club is looking for new members. Learn how to become a DJ and start practicing your skills. Come by room 103 at the start of lunch to learn more.

Learning Centre selling popcorn Tuesdays and Thursdays outside room 217 - fifty cents a bag.   Hot chocolate, with marshmallows, $1 on Fridays.

Improv Club meets Tuesdays on the stage after school. All are welcome. 

Reminder to grade 12 students to check the updated list of scholarships on the guidance website and posted outside of the guidance office.
