Year-end Message to Community

This is a message from Island View High School
Island View High School’s exams start Wednesday, June 19th and end Monday, June 24th. The exam schedule has been posted in classrooms, the school website and school Twitter sites. All exams are two hours with the exception of the English 10 and Math 10 Provincial exams which students have three hours to write exams. Morning exams start at 8:00 am and afternoon exams start at 11:30 am.
All students’ not writing exams have access to the cafeteria or library during exam time to study. Students who finish exams early have the option to leave after the first hour of the exam. Stock Buses during exams will be running at regular times for pick up and departures.
If students have a textbook assigned to them they are to bring them to school the day the student writes the exam.
If students have any overdue library books they are to bring the overdue books directly to Ms. Garnier in the library during school hours.
If any students have any athletic school uniforms not yet returned please return them to Mr. Mailman in Student Services.
Lockers were cleaned out Monday, June 17th. If students have personal possessions left in lockers after June 17th materials will be deposed to local charities on Friday, June 21st.
Chromebooks, Chromebook cases and Chromebook chargers can be returned to Student Services and checked in with Mrs. Mageau between 9:00am-11:30 am. Students who need their Chromebooks for final exams may return them to Student Services directly after their last exam. The Chromebook, Chromebook case and Chromebook charger must all be submitted at the same time.
Island View will post list of Chromebooks and serial numbers on Wednesday, June 12. Students may check to see if they have their own Chromebook. If they don’t, please see Ms. Mageau in Student Services between 9 and 11:30 a.m.
There are no scheduled classes June 26th& 27th as they are Assessment and Evaluation Days. The last day of school is June 28th where students come to school to pick up their report cards. Dismissal for students will begin at 10 a.m. with schools following the normal schedule of afternoon bus runs.
