September 7: Opening Day at Island View High School
Monday September 6th at 12:11 pm
Hello IVHS Parents/Guardians:
Welcome to the 2021-22 school year! My name is Randolph Sullivan, Principal of Island View High School. I am very much looking forward to meeting your children and building strong positive relationships between school and home, as we partner in supporting your child’s well-being and learning.
Vice Principal Danny Smith and I would like to extend a warm welcome back to our current students and parents/guardians, and a very special welcome to students and parents/guardians who are new to IVHS! When students return to school for their first day on Tuesday, September 7th, they will return to a school setting that looks and feels much more like it did pre-COVID. However, to ensure schools are as safe as possible, core public health measure will remain in place. These include:
-
Frequent hand washing and sanitizing
-
Cleaning of high-touch surfaces
-
Staying home if you are feeling sick (Current daily checklist attached)
Additionally, all students, staff, and visitors will be required to wear masks inside schools and while riding the school bus to start the school year. Schools will transition away from mandatory masks once the province reaches Phase 5 of its re-opening plan.
