Student Monitors

I would like to welcome Megan Monk to our IVHS team. In her role as Student Monitor she will provide support and assistance to students and school administration during the school day. Ms. Monk will oversee students in a variety of settings including lunch areas, hallways, multi-use spaces and outside areas. We are currently interviewing for other Student Monitors to add to our team.
 

Lockdown Drill

We will be having our first lockdown drill tomorrow, Tuesday, September 28, sometime in the afternoon. A lockdown may be initiated for a variety of reasons including but not limited to: a violent or potentially violent incident inside the school; or an unauthorized visitor with unknown intent.

This drill requires the building to be secured and classroom lights shut off and doors locked. Students are to remain calm and quiet in their classrooms where they will be positioned for safety. We ask that you speak with your child about the importance of following teacher direction while we practice a lockdown situation, including remaining off their phone for the duration of the drill.
